It's been awhile.....

Well, things got hectic so I haven't been writing. Truth is, not much really to write....seems time just slips by without any real thought to it. Funny that. I've been trying to get back into my workout routine....its been 10 years since I've really put in an effort...and it can really be seen. But I'm to the point where I can't stand it anymore, and that's a good thing. Not to mention we're going into peak eating season...with ump-teen birthdays starting at the end of September and not ending
until the end of October, then comes Thanksgiving, Christmas....oh my! So, I'd best get prepared now because I don't think I can stand another pound! I was watching the Olympic Marathoners.....man, are they ever fatless! I bet they don't have a pound of fat between all them. So there's my inspiration, although I doubt I'm able to rid all of it.....there's lots I can attempt to.....lol. I've put myself back into my "20's" mentality: no fast food, workout 6 days a week at least 2 hours.
Although now I have to add cardiovascular 3 times a week. In my 20's, I did enough running around and dancing to compensate. And though I have a toddler, playing with her doesn't get the heart rate up quite enough....yet.
Actually, I dropped about 90 pounds once on this schedule and hoping that my metabolism will still kick in like it used to. I don't eat fast food like I did then..so cutting it out altogether won't be as hard. I'm also not much of a meat eater....mostly chicken. I do crave steak now and then. But mostly I eat fruits and vegetables, grains and dairy. I refuse to follow low carb, no carb, high carb, blah blah blah. Humans are designed to consume those things and actually need them, but in moderation.
In fact, we are better off not eating meat at all. But fish, which for some reason is not really considered meat by the body....it is processed quicker and all is used. Did you know that we process food calories differently than liquid calories? That diet colas can throw off your metabolism? Yes...after drinking a diet soda then eating...your body doesn't know how to process the food calories. Something in the sodas interferes with the process. No wonder I've never lost weight while drinking those....
and I have been drinking them for years. So, hopefully the word gets out on that because I know many people who drink them because they think it's better. Anyway, I'll keep my progress written here. Til next time.
