It's Friday for me now :)

So the goopy chest thing is now a stuffy nose thing, complete with ear pops each and every swallow~yea!  At least it's tolerable while standing.  Going horizontal, however, is a whole other ball game.

Last night, I think I woke up every hour.  If not to change sides to give each nostril fair share of breathing time, then it was to yell at Kitty to stop clawing at the bottom of my Mom's closed door.  What is with cats and closed doors anyway?  Or is it just my neurotic ones?

I took NyQuil and a sinus med an hour before I went to bed, too....  Half hour after I laid down, I was up swigging cough suppressant  :)  All this will be repeated tonight....  soon.

Went to work and spent the first hour and a half outside because it was so nice.  First we took all 12 kids out in the buggies (I'll get pics of these) for a walk around the neighborhood.  There is hardly any traffic unless the elementary or high schools are letting out, so we have a nice time.

Then we go inside, unload them, and turn them loose on the playground.  They love that :)  and we do, too!  The only fighting is when it is time to go back in.  Then its chaos with 2 of them doing the whole going limp and refusing to stand routine.  This calls for a one under each arm approach, for their safety of course :)

Because it was teacher appreciation week, we received a lot of gifts!  Cool  :)  First, we all got a different smelly candle (I chose sugar cookie~yum).

When I went in today, there was a half sheet cake just for our room! (I don't need cake, but hey... don't expect me to turn it down, either).

Tonight, when my 'Ziggy~girl' got picked up, her mom brought us all these very nice date books  :)  It was so thoughtful and unexpected (to me)~ it is a great feeling to be recognized for what we do!

Even though it won't make a difference in how I treat their children, we learn who appreciates us the most by the small gestures like these.

I must get to work on some thank you cards including pictures of their children at play.  One mom gave me a great idea for others who take their kids to daycare~send disposable cameras now and then to capture their child's day  :)

The parents at G's preschool love it when I bring in pictures of their kids (complete with frame {Adobe'd}, name, year, and event it was taken ;)  I haven't given any to my daycare kid's parents, but I will do that tonight or tomorrow... or start on them as I have a lot :)

Tomorrow is payday~'nuff said there  :)   I also have laundry, a trip to the grocery, some household stuff, and some errands.  It promises to be a full day.  Hope I make it out of the house earlier than 1pm  :)

This weekend is supposed to be summer-like, just in time for Mother's Day.  I imagine we'll break out the grill that night or maybe Saturday night, since the Nascar race is on then.

What are you guys going to do?

Have a good night and a pleasant tomorrow....

Cat

The best thing I have found is Tylenol with cool burst sensation - or something like that.  Even beats NyQuil and I used to swear by that stuff.  My only advice is if it says nighttime it means NIGHTTIME.  Knock you out twice as hard as NyQuil.

Oh No Cat!!  I sure hope you feel better soon!!  I hate when ya can't breathe at night and ya have to keep flipping over just TO breathe.
Wow!!  How nice was that of those parents!!!  ;)  It's the little things like that, that make it all worth it.
Nothing doing here for Mother's Day....Jim will be sleeping all day and then off to work that nite.  :::sigh:::  But I am sure Josh and I will think of something special to do together.  :)
Hope you get a good nights rest...and have a better tomorrow!!
*hugs*

Wow, you sound like you feel horrible. Hope you feel better soon. I know that old night routine, roll on one side, clear this nostril and quick roll on my back only to wake up an hour later on my side again....it's a vicious cycle.

I'm really glad that you get noticed during 'teacher appreciation week'. When you work in a daycare setting, the recognition is minimal if at all. Being in a home setting, it is very rare to be recognized for anything other than taking a day off here or there....although for the first time in 12 years, I had a wonderful Christmas from about 80% of my parents. I was shocked to say the least. yes, I'm whining....I apologize

I'm feeling the sickness too...was a cough, now it's a throat/ear type of thing, started Zithromax today thank goodness!

We haven't been outside much with the daycare...still too cold, well not for them, but for me!  It's only reaching 65 for the high so 10am is pretty chilly.  Soon enough I'll be complaining about how god awful hot it is.  I'm never satisfied.

Don't know what I'll be doing this weekend....taking Ciara for a haircut (she wants it thinned out and real short, we'll see).  Bill is planning on doing yardwork, no surprise there, so that leaves me to play around with my new computer program, and watch some movies.  I was thinking of watching Closer again, or maybe Oceans 12.  Maybe we'll get a chance to IM this evening TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess that is one of those occupational/seasonal hazards. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Happy Mother's Day!

If its the bug we had about a month ago...it was horrible!  It took two rounds of antibiotics to get over it!

I babysat 7 children under the age of five in my home while Dave was in pharmacy school.  I think that is where I earned my Sainthood.  ROFL
